With Hanukkah just ahead, I thought I would share this crowd favorite used either as a coffee cake or a delightful dessert. I use granny smiths just to make it a little :sweet and sour". Give it a try!

Jewish Apple Cake

Ingredients 1 1/2 cups sugar (you can use 1/2 brown and 1/2 white) 1 cup vegetable oil 3 eggs 1/2 tsp salt 2 cup flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp vanilla 4-6 apples, peeled, cored and cubed 1/2 cup walnuts

Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs, add sugar and oil then the rest of ingredients. Pour into greased 9 X 13-inch pan and bake for 45 min.
